Residential Solar/PV Incentive Program
Guidelines for Residential Solar/PV Incentive Program
As part of a corporate commitment to promoting renewable energy resources, the Delaware County Electric Cooperative (DCEC) is pleased to offer its members the opportunity to receive incentive grant funding for installing new solar/photovoltaic (PV) systems at their residential locations. This funding opportunity is being offered under the New York Power Authority (NYPA) Solar/PV Incentive Program. In addition to funding incentives, DCEC has also established a cooperative policy entitled "Member-Owned Distributed Generation" (see below) that outlines the terms for which members may interconnect their own renewable resource with the cooperative’s electrical system, and receive financial credit for energy produced by the member-owned system in excess a member’s consumption.
The following information provided are DCEC's terms for the member-owned solar installation (this includes instructions regarding the application and steps involved in going forward with the process for complying with the requirements for incentive funding), as well as the application itself. To be considered for funding applications must be received by May 1, 2011:
